Norma Jeanne began her studies in the 1980's while touring North America with a professional rock band. She began private training in 1989 and opened Puppy Power, the first positive dog training facility in Kitchener, Ontario in 1992. Norma Jeanne has consulted with clients as far away as China, and students have come from all over the world to take her professional dog trainer certification career courses.
Having taught over 7000 classes and rehabilitated hundreds of dogs, and utilizing years of study including over one hundred canine behaviour, aggression, training and animal sciences courses, lectures, seminars, workshops, conferences and symposiums, and with the use of numerous other references, Norma Jeanne created the Canine Correspondence Studies professional dog trainer certification program. CCS is a 100% positive, punishment-free professional certification dog trainer program using motivational techniques to teach dogs to think for themselves and make correct choices. Her philosophy is that dogs can learn to problem-solve and choose the desired behaviour in order to affect a pleasant outcome without any use of reprimands. Norma Jeanne’s innovative approach to dog training has been featured in newspapers, magazines, newsletters, on television and radio. Norma Jeanne now lives in the country, in Ontario, Canada with Greg and their amazing rescued dogs.
